Mr. Rogers.
The various bodies to be consulted on the wording of the draft press notice at 17, which Sir Cosmo Parkinson passed as a draft, have now concurred.
Me
Would you be good enough to let know whether it will now be in order for us to go ahead with the other steps which we propose to give publicity to the Rhodes Trustees' and the British Council's benefactions to the University of Hong Kong, viz. to fix a date with the Press Section for the publication of the draft press notice and the issue of the article by Sir William Peel (top paper but one on this file) as "background" material to the press. We also propose, before the notice is actually published, to let Lord Elton, Professor Ifor Evans (British Council) and Sir William Feel himself have final copies of these documents.

I have discussed with Mr. Kenneth Williams and he will arrange for publication on the 28th if you would send the file to him. The papers might then be sent to Dr. Smart as suggested in Mr. Eastwood's marginal note.
